Another Day (or Night) at Work

Today and tomorrow are the last 2 days of our training. I'm happy to say that I have not yet felt the urge to not go to work, primarily because we have an incentive for perfect attendance anyway. If you do not incur any lates or absences in a week, you automatically get an extra P1,250 non-taxable on top of your regular pay. In a month, that sums up to P5,000.

I have been enjoying working at VXI, and my new teammates are absolutely fun. Who would have thought that the person my husband and I play RAN Online with would be one of my officemates.

AxcessPoints Online Disaster Planning Tool

No one can predict emergencies - they can happen as fast as in the blink of an eye. Handling an emergency also often spells out heavy expenses and confusing days. With our everyday lives so advanced and high-tech, even the tasks that seem simple - managing and keeping secure our personal, financial, and legal information seems hard to do. So who do you go to in times of emergencies?

AxcessPoints is a secure online planning resource that assists individuals and families to organize critical personal, medical, and financial information and minimize the impact of a natural disaster. AxcessPoints also offers a first-of-its-kind Emergency Toolkit. The Emergency Toolkit is an interactive calculator that helps families in making a comprehensive emergency preparedness kit. What this tool does is to calculate the right level of supplies and other needed items by considering the factors of age, gender, disabilities and animals, including livestock. The information is highly secure, and the users can also choose to share sections of their emergency plan with members of their family and/or their trusted advisors.

Sometimes we might think that the area or place we live in is very unlikely to have a natural disaster, every single person can face personal emergencies, and may even have a need for managing their estate. With AxcessPoints, you can securely organize all your critical information with any web-related device, and have others access it as well. It's like having a high-tech safety deposit box.

Blast from the Past

Today at work I saw an old friend of mine, Lourdes, and she's actually the Compliance Officer from where I currently work, VXI. I couldn't help but feel like tonight was such a blast from the past.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw her. All I remember though is that she has a sister (whose name I cannot remember anymore), and a couple of months back (or was it more than a year?) I received an SMS message stating that her house had burned down or something.

I guess I really need to take some time out and try to get together and catch up with my elementary and high school friends.

On Weddings

When I got married, it wasn't the grandest wedding or anything, but I didn't mind because I was with the man I loved and people ho genuinely cared for me. But my husband and I do have this plan of getting married again in a church with a gown and all.

If ever our plans do push through, I would definitely want it to be complete and well-prepared and organized, like with wedding cards and all, but not any wedding card would suffice - they would have to be unique wedding invitations. These invitations would be sophisticated wedding invitations and would be something we would be proud to show our guests and all the people we will be inviting. It should also be something we'd be happy to keep and show off to our kids when they grow up and eventually get married someday.

Oh well, although these things will not be happening yet, it's fun to think about them as early as now.

Working with VXI

I'm currently employed for another contact center called Vision-X. It's like 30 minutes away from where I live and so far, things have been turning out great.

For starters, our HR talk answered most of my underlying concerns, like HMOs for my kids, allowances, etc. My basic pay is far bigger than what I used to have with eTelecare, nor any other contact center I have worked for, plus the fact that I also have a non-taxable Perfect Attendance Bonus which is based weekly and is something that I will strive to get as often as I can.

I don't want to say that the company is great, since I've only been there for 3 days. But during these 3 days of training, so far, I like it a lot and I have no complaints.

Owned and operated by Crown Solution Gaming Ltd., 32Vegas operates under a license granted by the government of Kahnawake and features maximum security over their secure website, and their 24/7 staff are all highly-trained to watch out for any players who are abusive, underage, or those that may disrupt the normal game for other players.

How was Your New Year?

This New Year was really great for me. I had my husband, my kids, and my mom in law to spend it with. My parents and my sister Elena also called me up a couple of minutes after midnight to talk with Keisha and ask how our New Year went. I also received an email from my uncle Jamie asking how our holidays were and what food we were preparing.

I can only hope that 2008 will hold as much blessings for me and my family as 2007 did. Cheers to all!

Improving your Blog's PR

I've been thinking of getting a consult from a SEO specialist for my three blogs. I've been doing a lot of thinking as I am already in the process of collecting payments from my blogging gigs and I was thinking of allocating some of my PayPal funds towards the services of a SEO expert. I'm not sure if what I'll be doing will be well worth it, but I really want to increase my blog's PR so that I'll be able to land more high-paying blogging jobs in the near future. I guess what I really need to do for the meantime would be to research a good SEO company so that my hard-earned blogging money will not go to waste.

What do you guys think?

Happy New Year!
