Fever

Since yesterday, I've been down with fever and colds and cough. The highest temperature I recorded last night was 39.7 degrees, that was before I drank any medicines. I woke up around 2am because I was shivering cold, which was when I realized that I already had a fever.

I hope I get well soon because I'll miss days of work, and I don't want my kids to acquire whatever virus I already have.

Henry Gets a Foot Spa

A day after Henry came back from his Ilocos trip, I accompanied him to a nearby salon and he had his foot scrubbed and cleaned and all. He said the foot spa experience was nice, and his feet felt really relaxed after the massage.

SpitzTunes -- Rappity, Rap!

This is a new conversation from dNeero and it got me thinking about music. I've always been a fan of rock since I was a kid, and rap really wasn't something that I liked, and like up to now. But with bands like Korn, this got me thinking. Do you think rap and metal are two music genres that should go together?

Your Health ... It's Good for You!

With the busy lives that most of us lead nowadays, sometimes our diet may be the last thing on our minds. DO we know what foods are good to eat and those we should avoid? Do read up and take this survey to see how you fare.

DTV QAs @ Comias

Comias is a canteen located at the back of VXI. One lunch time the DTV QAs and me had our lunch there and sang some songs on the karaoke. Enjoy the video of us goofing around!

No One's Listening

Ever get the feeling that no one listens and no one cares?

I'm feeling this feeling right now, and I honestly hate it.

I hate feeling unappreciated and disregarded. I hate how what I think are dismissed right at the onset of me just saying it. I hate how I feel like I'm the dumbest person on earth and that what I think and say are worthless.

I hate how I think and worry and prioritize other people's needs and wants over mine to the point that what I want and what I need are always put on hold, only to realize that no one's thinking about you in return.

It's hard to always think of others and then just find out that no one thinks about you.

On Unsecured Financing

A lot of us dream to be our own boss, with our own business to manage and all of our time in our hands. Some of us may have even thought of what business to put up, where it'll be located, and what it will be called - and miss one thing - the capital to start. So where do you turn to if you're in need of business loans?

There are several companies offering both personal loans and business credit, but knowing the terms of payment, the interest rates, and where to secure the said loan are just some of the questions that you should answer just before you jump the wagon and get on lending. If you are looking to build your Business Credit so that you can obtain the most Financing possible for your Business, BusinessCreditMagic.com is the best option I found when I did my research. Their site is very user - friendly and informative, and you'' get the answers you need at the touch of a button.

EZUnsecured.com can get Financing even in this market - They are GOOD at what they do but they are NOT cheap - Get ready to break out your wallet and pay around 10% as a Success Fee on the Financing they obtain for you.

A Good Friend

Since I moved up to the 7th floor, I haven't been around the Welcome Call production floor as often as I wanted to. When I finally had the chance, the realization that my teammate Yani (the guy in the grey 7Up shirt) was really gone. He left for Singapore a few months back, and I didn't even get the chance to formally say goodbye.

I've known Yani since January 2008 when we were still trainees for VXI. He was a natural comedian and somehow always saw the brighter side of things, that is, when he's awake because he always snoozes off at work. But when he is awake, he does give out pretty good advice on life and pretty much anything uder the sun. He would always be the first one to shout whenever he sees me on the floor visiting them, with a big smile on his face.

One thing I also miss is his iPod, which I always borrow whenever he brings it to work. Both he and I are a fan of rock music, and he's like the 2nd person I know who also likes 3 Libras.

Well, here's to a good friend. See you soon!

First Day of Calls for the DTV QAs

I was meaning to post these pictures sooner but since I changed schedules, I hadn't had the time to blog as often as I wanted to. These pictures were taken on the very first day that all of the DTV QAs started to take in calls which was back in February 20.

Braces, Finally!

I finally got my braces in! I had my braces fixed last March 5. To be honest, it wasn't bad as I thought it would be, and I'm glad that my talkative self wasn't hindered in any way. I've been telling Henry how much I've wanted braces since I was a kid because I have crooked teeth, and I'm glad that I was finally able to fulfill this dream of mine. Some people may think it weird that I consider having braces as a dream, but it's also an accomplishment for me because I was able to fund my braces from my own pocket.

Best Mom Award

Thank you to Momi She for this award, and I would like to share it to all the mommy bloggers out there.
These are my kids, Keisha and Nicole. Keisha is turning 6 on October 29 and Nicole is turning 2 on June 28. I had my eldest daughter during my last and graduating year in college, so you can imagine the disappointment it caused my family. Lucky for me, I gave birth to her through a cesarian section during semestral break, so I finished college on time.

When Henry and I finally moved in together, we didn't have much money. With a baby dependent on milk and diapers, we skimped and saved every last bit of the salary Henry took home since I was still looking for a job at the time. There were times that all we ate were canned goods, sardines and noodles, we were late on the house rent, disconnection notices for the light bill came every month since we couldn't pay it on time, but I didn't mind. I was so determined and decided to make our marriage work that when I got a job, slowly but surely our lives started getting better.

Keisha was 3 when I got pregnant with Nicole. To be honest, I felt I wasn't ready to have another baby at the time, since I was so scared that we wouldn't have enough money for all of the expenses that comes with having an infant. Plus the fact that Keisha was starting school, and that I was certain that I would be giving birth to Nicole through another cesarian section. But when Nicole came, she was like a lucky charm to all of us. Just when I thought our lives couldn't get any better, it just did. While I was pregnant with her and was staying at home, I discovered blogging. My mom in law's visa was granted, and Henry's career is ever so stable and successful. Keisha's doing really great in school, too.

One of the lessons I've learned in life is that God gives us challenges He's sure we can handle. We may doubt ourselves but in the end, it's His will that will be done, so we just need to pray and have faith in him.

Our Philippines

Here's a thought to ponder for all Filipinos out there who are currently a member of dNeero. Do take the time to think things over, like what band you'd like to have a concert here, what fashion trends are hot, and other stuff that everyone should know about, including politics.

Have You Ever...

This is a long overdue tag from Momi She, and I just got around to doing it today! Sorry Momi She! This is called the Have You Ever tag, and to whoever comes across it, feel free to go ahead and grab it and post it on your blog. Just don't forget to mention me in your post, OK? Wink, wink!

1. Have you ever been on TV?
Yes, a couple of times back in college. The most prominent TV exposure I got was when I was in a picket rally in front of the Commission on Elections in Intramuros which is just walking distance from my university. They even used part of my speech as a voice over when the news segment was ending.
2. Have you ever sung in public?
Yes, back in high school. It wasn't really a public singing affair, it just so happened that the girl who usually sings the Philippine National Anthem was late and there was no one to sing so my teacher grabbed me and placed the mic close to my lips while I sang with my eyes closed in front of all of my school mates. That incident never happened again.
3. Have you ever dyed your hair blond?
No, and I don't think I ever will.

4. Have you ever eaten frog's legs?
No, eww!!!

5. Have you ever received a present that you really hated?
No, because for me, I'm already flattered with the thought that someone bothered to go and get me a present, no matter what it is. The thought alone makes me feel special already, the material gift is just icing on the cake for me.

6. Have you ever walked into a lamp post?
Thankfully, not yet. But I guess I shouldn't speak too soon. :)

7. Have you ever cooked a meal by yourself for more than 15 people?
No, and that would be insane! You'd be really tired and exhausted and probably cranky, so you won't be mingling with your guests for sure. And besides, there's always take out and delivery.

8. Have you ever fallen or stumbled in front of others?
Yes, a lot of times. But the most recent one was when Doods and I were crossing the street on our way to work and I slipped right smack in the middle of the street, falling down on my left knee. Doods picked me up and although my knee was bleeding, we were laughing hysterically.

9. Have you ever done volunteer work?
I would love to if I had time, but I give out to charities and donate stuff like canned goods and clothes whenever I have the chance.

Missing Henry

I just can't help but feel glum all day. I busied myself with laundry and today, in folding the clothes I washed yesterday. Unfortunately, folding clothes keep only your hands busy, and not your head. I've been missing Henry more and more every day, and even Nicole seems sad without her dad around.

I've been spending most of my time texting him and thinking about him. I can't wait until the 3rd when he gets home.
