Thank you to Momi She for this award, and I would like to share it to all the mommy bloggers out there.
These are my kids, Keisha and Nicole. Keisha is turning 6 on October 29 and Nicole is turning 2 on June 28. I had my eldest daughter during my last and graduating year in college, so you can imagine the disappointment it caused my family. Lucky for me, I gave birth to her through a cesarian section during semestral break, so I finished college on time.
When Henry and I finally moved in together, we didn't have much money. With a baby dependent on milk and diapers, we skimped and saved every last bit of the salary Henry took home since I was still looking for a job at the time. There were times that all we ate were canned goods, sardines and noodles, we were late on the house rent, disconnection notices for the light bill came every month since we couldn't pay it on time, but I didn't mind. I was so determined and decided to make our marriage work that when I got a job, slowly but surely our lives started getting better.
Keisha was 3 when I got pregnant with Nicole. To be honest, I felt I wasn't ready to have another baby at the time, since I was so scared that we wouldn't have enough money for all of the expenses that comes with having an infant. Plus the fact that Keisha was starting school, and that I was certain that I would be giving birth to Nicole through another cesarian section. But when Nicole came, she was like a lucky charm to all of us. Just when I thought our lives couldn't get any better, it just did. While I was pregnant with her and was staying at home, I discovered blogging. My mom in law's visa was granted, and Henry's career is ever so stable and successful. Keisha's doing really great in school, too.
One of the lessons I've learned in life is that God gives us challenges He's sure we can handle. We may doubt ourselves but in the end, it's His will that will be done, so we just need to pray and have faith in him.
