I got Locked Out Yesterday

Silly me forgot my house keys yesterday when I went to work. So I came home I guess around 15-20 minutes before 7am (my new schedule is 9pm-6am by the way) and don't quote me on this as I was really sleepy I'm not sure if I was reading the time right anymore. So I knock and I knock but my mom in law and my kids just didn't wake up. I understood as I knew they probably slept wee hours in the morning while reviewing Keisha for her exams and they had the door to the room closed so that Nicole won't get out the room and come tumbling down the stairs. So I knock. And knock. And knock.

And what the f**k it's already past 9am. I guess I finished a pack of cigarettes already just waiting for someone to wake up. I was already making a lot of noise. I was ringing our landline phone, buzzing our doorbell nonstop, knocking on the door with a coin, and screaming my lungs out. Yes, I can multi-task, and I was able to do all of those things at the same time. I tried picking our lock with my ID but it just wouldn't budge. So there. I decided to walk around first as I was really sweaty, stinky, and sleepy, and my fingers felt they were already dislocated because of knocking and knocking.

That was when I went to my mom in law's sister's house. She had her son knock on the door with me. Oh, and did I mention that my neighbors who lived on the left and the right side of our house were also knocking on our windows and our door as well? One of them even gave me something to drink, another one a bag of chips, and lo and behold! Even more cigarettes came pouring on me. But the neighborhood's efforts were to no avail. Until my mom in law's sister's husband came to the rescue. Bless his soul, but for a man, he seriously has a loud mouth and literally pounded on our door so loud that it sent my mother in law running down the stairs.

So finally, more than 2 hours later, I got to enter my house and collapsed on the bed. They all had a good laugh about it, but I sure didn't. I learned my lesson though. When I woke up in the afternoon I had our darn house key duplicated and pinned it to my company ID. I learned my lesson the hard way.
