Helping out a Friend

I recently got a friend of mine, Richard, into blogging (with Blogger of course), and he started off by showing this beauty pageant in our town on his blog. His blog is over a month old and I'm helping him earn money off of blogging as well. I think he's already off the right track as he already earned his first $2 in just weeks. Since we both work at VXI, our break times are often spent chatting about blogging and how to do this and that, which sites are the best to write for, and what ads are great to have on your site. I remember when I started blogging...it was like 4-5 months before I actually started earning an amount that had two digits in it.

Please visit my friend's blog, Dreamworks. I hope that he finds blogging more of a passion than an opportunity to make money. Although I do a lot of sponsored posts, I feel that blogging should come first before the need to make money, don't you agree?

Keisha's First Contest at School

Here's a video of my daughter rehearsing for her poem recital contest a few hours before the actual contest. Hope you like this one and hopefully we'll be able to retrieve the video of the actual contest as soon as the digicam is fixed.

Keisha's First Contest at School

Here's some pictures of Keisha's first contest at school. I'll embed her rehearsal video as soon as I'm finished uploading it. I didn't know 24mb could take forever, lol.

Happy Birthday to Something and Nothing at All!

Happy birthday to this blog!

It's officially a year old today, as the first post on this blog was dated exactly a year ago. It's about my eldest daughter Keisha and it's great to have something to look back and be proud of. I hope I will be able to keep this blog up and have more readers as well.

Waiting for Henry

I decided to stay away from the computer for about a week (which I thought was a luxury) since it was my birthday and all. So I just checked my email and was not surprised when I found dozens and dozens of spam messages on both my Yahoo! and Gmail accounts.

Since my week long online absence, I forgot to inform you guys that Henry is yet again away on a long trip to Ilocos, but hopefully will be back by the wee hours of the 20th. I'm glad I was able to celebrate my birthday with him, but the pessimist in me won me over as I kept thinking of the days he'd be away instead of cherishing the time he's actually here.

I'm just glad that the wait will be over and that he'll be back soon.

A Birthday Present for Myself

I've always wanted a lava lamp and my officemate, Earl, knew this place where you could buy lava lamps for a really cheap price. He went there for me since the store is near his house, and bought it to work the following day. I consider it as a birthday present for myself. Here's my lava lamp! Really glad to have one!

And that's Earl and me at work.

A decade of love and life has passed, and I look forward to more.

Wish myself the best!

Phone Blasting

Yup that's right! There's a new system released by You Receive Calls that will certainly be of a great help to people who run businesses. Instead of manually cold calling people, this system will call 10,000 leads in less than 30 minutes, generate prospects, create signups, and even pay you $500 daily! It's a great system for businesses who are just starting up to get their word around and improve sales.

Henry's Home!

I just wanted to share how happy I am that Henry's home. He arrived yesterday around 1:30 in the morning and we just talked and talked. I'm glad he's home.

I Miss Henry

The fact that Henry's not at home and is somewhere else is beginning to sink in. I'm beginning to feel a certain sadness that I can't explain. The food just doesn't taste as well when he's not around. Water doesn't seem to quench my thirst anymore, and days just seem to trudge by.

I miss how he prepares my packed lunch for work, and how he always waits for me to wake up around 11pm just so we can eat dinner together. Not that I'm saying the lunch my mom in law packs for me is not delicious, but somehow it just tastes different...everything feels different anyway.

Funny how I should be used to this by now as this isn't the first time he's left for Ilocos or for a long trip. But somehow I just never get used to it.

And to top everything off, I feel even sadder when Keisha is around. She looks so much like her dad it makes me miss him even more and want to cry.

*Sigh.* Later I'll be sleeping alone in our bed again, and wake up to another night at work without him.
