Digital Pictures

Henry and I just came home from a short trip to the mall. We were supposed to go to the bank but we forgot that today was a holiday and banks and most offices were closed. So we ended up going to the mall instead and we had a couple of our pictures printed out.

I printed out a picture of Henry and me, my most favorite picture of all, which was taken on Keisha's first birthday. We also had a couple of Keisha and Simone's pictures printed out, plus one picture of my mom in law that she took with our cellphone.

I have to admit, I miss being with Henry alone. Not that I don't want to take the kids with us where we go, but the feeling that it's just the two of you and you have time to be alone together is something that I've missed. This day off that I have today is one that was well-spent.

Marriage Counseling

One of my co-workers and I were talking about married life yesterday. She got married because her then-boyfriend now husband got her pregnant and their parents had thought that it would be best if the child she was carrying would have parents and that they try to make the relationship work.

I couldn't help but recall what my mom used to tell me frequently - you'll know the real character and personality of someone once you start living under one roof. In her case, that was the truth - her husband turned out to be such a slob and was very irresponsible. They would fight frequently, and she has had several thoughts of leaving her husband and taking her child.

I honestly did not know what advice to give her, except to seek the advice of a Marriage Family Counselor. Since she admits that she is still interested in keeping their family intact for the sake of their child, she is also willing to give the relationship another shot. I hope that Marriage Family Counseling would do the trick for her, and maybe they'll remember what brought them together in the first place. Or maybe, all they need is a good Marriage Retreat to take their minds off of too much stress and problems and will eventually let them communicate better with an open heart and cooler heads.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the success of their family and their married life.

Kiss - Because I'm a Girl

While I was researching for some Korean music videos to embed in the blog I write for, I came across this video from the band K.I.S.S., Because I'm a Girl. Although I didn't understand the lyrics, the video was enough to move me. It just shows the sacrifices one can make for love. It's a great video, and I though I'd share it with you.

Joyland Online Casino

I was looking for casino games that offered a starting or joining bonus and my searching took me to Joyland Casino. This site is a virtual casino wherein you feel you're really playing in a real casino but really just in the comfort of your home. Since internet casino gambling online has been really popular nowadays, there are already tons of sites offering the same thing.

What made me take a second look at Joyland Casino is their $808 welcome bonus for new players. Now that's a lot of money right there. Also, their website is really cool and easy to use, and also very thoughtful. The first time you open the site a pop up window will appear asking you if you want to install their software while you're browsing around the site. Saves you time, right?

Without a Wink's Worth of Sleep

Tonight (wait, it's already morning) I am staying up and refusing to go to sleep because my daughter Nicole is sick. She absolutely does not want to be put down for any reason and will cry her lungs out if you do. My mom in law just finished a mountain of laundry and her back hurts, so for now I'm in charge of taking care of Nicole.

For me, I actually don't mind because these wee hours of the morning are the hours that I actually work, so I'm pretty used to being awake around this time. Second, since I've started to work again I can't help but feel that I have not been spending time with my kids. At least tonight and tomorrow, I can somehow make up for lost time.

I managed to put Nicole into a somewhat peaceful sleep which I know will not last long. Once her nose gets clogged, she'll be awake in a jiffy and crying again. I have to admit, my arms already hurt, especially since she's really heavy and wiggly, but I don't mind. I love her a lot and I'm glad to be the one taking care of her tonight.

My First Ebay Purchase

A couple of days ago I made my first Ebay purchase. Actually, there were 2 items that I bought, from Singapore and the United States and they haven't arrived yet. I am able to track the items through UPS and I'm eagerly waiting for them to arrive.

The first item I bought was a Korean spoon and a pair of chopsticks for my eldest sister Elena which she's been dying to have for several months already. The second is a bottle of Ripped Fuel which hopefully will help me burn off fat while I work my pounds off at a nearby gym. The fat burner I will be sharing with someone from work, and these will hopefully speed up my weight loss.

I'll update you when these items arrive, as I'm really looking forward to them.

On Cosmetic Sugery

I've been constantly wanting to lose weight, like ten to fifteen pounds. Ever since I gave birth, I was never able to regain the way my body looked before. I've always been envious of my friends who already have kids but were able to retain their figure. I guess maybe it's because I gave birth through a cesarian section for both my daughters. Or in part, it's because I was never one to keep an eye on my intake of food and my work is the only form of exercise that I get.

So I wanted to try out cosmetic surgery. I found a site that performs experienced liposuction, cosmetic surgery, and plastic surgery with an artful vision. The Chicago cosmetic surgeon that I saw also offers services like breast augmentation, vein treatments, cellulite treatments, laser surgery, face lifts, liposuction, and other cosmetic surgery.

The Chicago plastic surgeon keeps their customers' vision of what their body should be and even offers a free consultation and financing assistance if you need cash for the surgery. For breast augmentation Chicago, these surgeons have decades of experience and since they are absolutely positive this will be a pleasant experience for you, your free consultation comes with a 15% discount off of your first procedure.

Great Eyeglasses for a Great Deal

I mentioned in a post on my other blog that my eldest daughter broke my mom in law's eyeglasses and we had to go to the store where we bought it to get it fixed. Well, we did get it fixed but I wish we had found out sooner about Zenni Optical.

After we went home I was browsing the internet when I came across an ad that stated : Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses - and they weren't kidding. Their prices are really competitive and the wide array of styles of eyeglasses and frames you can choose from is literally amazing. No wonder there are already tons of reviews about Zenni Optical that read: Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical and Great Discovery: Zenni Optical.

I'm looking forward to trying their services out, especially since my mom in law already picked out a style she wants. I told her our trip to Zenni Optical may be a bit sooner than what we think - if Keisha breaks her glasses again.

A Successful Install

Yipee!

Today at work we were allowed to make calls for around 5 hours since we're still in the transition phase and our Group Manager challenged the team to make at least 10 installs for that 5 hours. I'm very proud to say that our team was able to make 14 installs instead of the 10 that we were challenged to do so.

My install was by far the most complicated one for the day. I had to to a MAC clone which is basically something very technical and something I knew little about. To be honest, the only thing I know how to configure is my Asus Router and that's about it. When I was faced with the Motorola device and the Time Warner cable box, I have to admit I was totally lost. I almost gave up on the install but my teammates kept pushing me to keep going. One of them used to be a technical support representative so she guided me and we were able to install the device successfully.

I'm really glad they were there and I'm glad that I listened to their advice. It's been a while since I truly felt part of a group, which was years ago when I was still working for another contact center.

A Site for Online Billiards

I have to admit - I'm a frustrated billiards player and I am an absolute fan of Efren "Bata" Reyes. But since I don't have that much (or any at all) skills in playing billiards, I found a site out that allows you to play online billiards. The site I came across also features online snooker and even billiard tournaments. I can practice all I want and play snooker and billiards at the comfort of my home without having to worry that there would be someone in the room laughing at how unskilled I am in these games. For now, I'll try to learn as much as I can playing off of the website and wait until I get better at it. Watch out guys!
